For our office in São Paulo, Brazil, QuinStreet is looking for a talented and enthusiastic PHP Developer to join our highly visible, start-up like team. You will collaborate with Web Producers and Marketing Managers in São Paulo as well as other engineers in the U.S. headquarters, and contribute to the design and implementation of our major products and sites to cater for the Brazilian market. This will include but not limited to building the data access layer, writing APIs, developing modules to provide essential services such as implementing core methodology. The ideal person will have proven abilities to code in PHP, and some experience in building database-driven web sites. Responsibilities include:

Work with PHP and MySQL to design, develop and debug Websites.

Develop and deploy PHP implementation of core algorithms with a solid understanding of coding best-practices.

Integrate back-end services with PHP/Javascript based front end needs.

Transform Photoshop layered files into HTML and CSS responsive web pages

Work with the team to manage, optimize and customize multiple web properties.

BS/BA in CS, EE and a minimum of 4-5 years of professional PHP development experience or equivalent.

Experience with PHP MVC frameworks is required. Previous experience with Code Igniter is a huge plus.

Proficiency with front-end scripting including: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX.

Experience with JQuery or other popular Javascript library.

Hands-on experience with web application architecture and relational database design.

Familiarity with the LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).

Understanding and demonstrated adaptation of cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility concerns.

Experience in building database-driven applications and Web sites.

Must be fluent in Portuguese and English.

Experience with perforce, Git, or other version control software.

Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction and knowledge transfer to teammates and other departments within the company.

A high task load is expected. You should be able to work within tight deadlines while exhibiting exemplary time management and task prioritization.

Positive attitude and professionalism in the workplace as well as great sense of humor is always appreciated.
