Provide geography and territory leadership, vision and direction for Point of Sale strategy and implementation.
Ensures that Nike will have access to complete selling data representing Nike’s most important opportunities in the geography and territories in alignment with the Global Sales and Corporate strategic plans.
Expert in working across the Matrix including close collaboration with the Global POS team.
Develop and communicate the POS vision to the business, IT partners and stakeholders.
Create multi-year strategy for data acquisition.
Ensure appropriate executive sponsorship for retailer implementations.
Lead the business processes as it relates to acquiring POS data.
Support the development of retailer presentations, including the benefits of sharing POS data.
Prioritize geography and territory retailer implementations monthly.
In collaboration with vendor/IT partner plan and manage all major milestones for multiple POS implementations including: requirements definition, workflow planning, identification of team roles, securing financial and human resources, and stakeholder communication.
Act as a resource to resolve complex problems with Retailer data capabilities.
Coordinate efforts with Nike Tech and business partners to execute and sustain geography plans.
Enable standardized executive score carding/reporting.
Lead the business process of point of sale data acquisition through a vendor as well as potential future Nike in-house implementation of point of sale data management, in partnership with Geo tech partner.
Manage vendor and/ or Nike Tech to Tech relationship and communication in partnership with IT partners.
Serve as the escalation point of contact for geo/territory teams as the liaison to any data/vendor and reporting issues.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English, including ability to make persuasive presentations to senior management.
Must be Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Retail industry experience preferred in buying, planning or sales preferred
Experience in a sales role and/or retail buyer/planning role
Experience in achieving decisions cross-functionally in an effective manner.
Proficiency in understanding complex problems and providing innovative solutions.
Creative and flexible with the ability to manage multiple projects/issues simultaneously.
Must have demonstrated effective communication e.g., listening, motivating and negotiating skills.
Ability to network and partner with diverse groups of people both internally and externally.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental retail competencies and knowledge.
Budget tracking and cost analysis skills are required.
