About the position
- Responsible for Systems and Operational design and execution of Demand Planning, Inventory Mgmt and Buys from factories, Re-buys, as well as interface with IT, factories, Liason Offices, Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, Finance and Operations.
- Accountable for Planning: Develop demand plans that support the strategic plans and work with cross-functional leadership to drive the demand planning process which may include setting goals and measurements to monitor performance and develop action plans.
- Ensure supply and demand plans link to strategic and financial plans.
- Determine inventory strategy by understanding category/product initiatives and demand to manage inventory strategy and targets in order to develop buy strategy.
- Purchase: Execute and manage commitments through creation of purchase orders and mgmt of buy exceptions and review coverage and manage POs. Prepares purchase orders for procurement of finished goods.
- Merch Ops: gathering and analyzes data in support of Product and Merchandising areas. Develops and provides quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models that drive towards Merchandising efficiency, cost effectiveness and enhance quality of product assortments.
- Minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience, preferably in retail market.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English, including ability to make persuasive presentations to senior management.
- SAP implementation experience.
- Knowledge in manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
