The Regional EHS Manager is part of the global Environmental Health, and Safety Team with the primary responsibility of implementing Google’s Global Safety Management Framework in our Latin America offices. You’ll assist Facilities Managers and security personnel in the development and implementation of localized environmental health safety programs, and most importantly, keeping Googlers safe.

You are a self-motivated individual who can work independently with strong skills in program management, critical thinking, problem solving, and relationship-management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, define, and verify current and future control solutions. You will also drive execution of remediation plans, ensure a supportive safety culture exists, and provide training, direction, and support as needed

Responsibilities
Oversee the deployment of Google’s Global Environmental Health & Safety Framework within the Region.
Assist Facilities and local safety liaisons to integrate localized environmental health safety guidelines, programs, and training
Assist in emergency response program delivery (First Aid/CPR training, Building evacuation team, general emergency response planning)
Coordinate regional risk assessments with local and remote facilities teams; recommend corrective actions and assist the relevant management to achieve closure.
Conduct hazard assessments and provide mitigation guidance in accordance to established business practices.

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in evaluating, reducing, and communicating safety risks.
Ability to speak English and Portuguese fluently and idiomatically.
Knowledgeable of Latin America local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
Solid performance of developing and implementing Environmental Health & Safety programs, procedures, associated training, guidance documents, and job aids.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to perform in a highly complex and ambiguous environment.
Working knowledge with Industrial Hygiene principles.
Excellent problem solving and analytic skills.
