Responsabilidades da Oportunidade

Student Counseling 
– Advise a specific cohort of students on the college admission process by creating individualized plans and executing on them in collaboration with the student and student’s mentor.
– Continually research and expand a knowledge base with resources to support students in applying for college, including maintaining knowledge of high school curricula, college research, extracurricular and leadership choices, and standardized test planning to make recommendations regarding admissions strategies.
– Utilize in-depth knowledge of institutions of higher learning to guide students towards attainable school goals, working with them to create lists of best-fit schools of varied competition to maximize chances of acceptances and financial support.
– Guide students through the college essay writing processes, providing continuous feedback and personalized support
– Provide assistance with standardized test planning and study tips (SAT/ACT and DET/TOEFL/IELTS). – Lead student group training sessions and present as an expert speaker on external webinars. – Maintain a high level of communication with your advisees through various channels (e.g. email, WhatsApp, etc.) and 1:1 advisement meetings Application Management & Student Support (60%)

Application Management & Student Support 
– Oversee and manage projects related to the college admissions process for the entire program, including organizing and tracking student application deadlines and ensuring the quality completion of application requirements such as letters of recommendation, school profiles, and essays
– Develop and implement program-wide support initiatives, such as workshops, presentations, and training sessions on topics such as application essay writing, college research, and financial aid.
– Monitor and analyze program data to assess effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
– Synergize with other areas of Fundação Estudar, to support the program’s students with other opportunities within the organization and to provide insight on study abroad trends
– Maintain a high level of communication with program partners, such as high schools and universities, to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.


Requisitos

– Fluent command of the English language, including the ability to write and edit in English
– Knowledge of international college application processes, including application platforms, essays testing, admissions requirements, and scholarships/financial aid.
– Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced routine
– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
– Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
– Ability to work independently and take initiative.
