Facebook is looking for an Associate to join the Global Shared Services- Insights team, a centralized team that provides scaled insights to Facebook clients globally. The goal of the team is to partner with our sales, marketing science, product and marketing teams and help our advertisers understand the value of advertising with Facebook through pre/post-campaign insights. In this role, you will have a great opportunity to build partnerships, provide business insights, and deliver on strategic initiatives for our advertisers in the LATAM market. Successful candidate will have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, thorough understanding of databases and data visualization, the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, be self-sufficient, fast-paced to meet tight deadlines, and have a passion for scaling operations through automation. This position is located in our Sao Paulo office and will be responsible for building insights support in the LATAM region, acting as an extension of the US team.
Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualization and data-mining to tell the story behind numbers and derive actionable insights for Facebook advertisers
Understand digital media Industry trends, develop in-depth vertical-solution based insights that help drive value for advertisers and higher adoption for Facebook ad products
Be able to draw correlations between elements of campaign design, do predictive analysis and be able to articulate implications for clients
Conceptualize and build dashboards that are simple, visually appealing, yet showcase powerful insights
Expert in designing PowerPoint presentations that are succinct and crisp, with a balance of high-level insights for executives, and a detailed enough view for core teams
Work effectively with cross-functional teams, learn and apply best practices from other teams and always strive for high quality deliverables
Think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver quick results, yet demonstrate a team-player attitude
The position will be based out of Sao Paulo, but will require active participation with management and team in US and India.
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an analytical field (e.g. Marketing/Marketing Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Economics,)
Passion for and background in consumer internet and social media is strongly preferred
3-5 years experience, with 2+ years of work experience in data analytics
Proficiency in SQL and Excel
Prior experience in data analytics and statistical programming with proficiency in using statistical tools such as R, SAS, SPSS etc.
Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Micro Strategy etc.
Proven experience leading data driven projects from definition through interpretation and execution
Strong analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data and providing practical business insights
Fast learner
achieve power-user status on multiple tools quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills
PHP, HTML/CSS/XML/JavaScript, PYTHON, VB and general programming skills are a plus.
