Facebook is looking for a high caliber business leader to be part of the Marketing Science leadership team driving Pricing and Measurement decisions across the organization in the region. We have two main areas of focus within the Marketing Science team: setting ad pricing and demonstrating ad efficacy.
Part of our work is partnering up with the sales teams to develop contracts for agencies and large individual advertisers in order to help them negotiate the best terms. The Marketing Science Director in Latam will manage the pricing relationships with such advertisers and agencies. In addition, will be responsible for the strategy that ensures we’re getting the most accurate price to the inventory purchased via the sales team.
Developing proof points on how ads on Facebook work in the context of other media is equally vital to building successful long-term relationships with advertisers. Working closely with the team - and using skills such as data manipulation and analysis - this professional will be expected to build successful strategies for developing Facebook’s position throughout Latam and building strong relationships with clients and agencies. We work with third party research companies who do the heavy lifting on how studies are constructed but one will need to be able to translate these studies to various audiences both internally and externally to succeed in this position;
The Latam Marketing Science Director will manage a team with room for plenty of growth over coming years. The role requires a hands-on approach to managing projects and the ability to articulate a vision for the medium term future for the team. To better achieve this goal this professional must navigate all levels of our organization.
The role is based in São Paulo and will involve travel throughout LATAM.

Responsibilities
- Manage the team who will set ad pricing and demonstrate ad efficacy – which are the areas of focus of the Marketing Science Team Articulate a vision for the medium and long term of the Marketing Science area in the region
- Develop strong partnership with sales teams throughout LATAM, to ensure the best contracts are made with agencies and other advertisers
- Build and develop relationship with key advertising players in Latin America
- Build successful measurement strategies for developing Facebook’s position in Latin America, using data manipulation and analysis
- Translate third party company studies to various audiences, both internally and externally
- Project management with a hands-on approach.


Requisitos

15+ years of experience in Marketing or Advertising, with a data-driven perspective of such areas
5+ years as people manager
Experience with the LATAM media market and understanding across media channels
Experience and understanding of LATAM advertising markets
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and technical knowledge of ad measurement and pricing
Experience negotiating with clients and company partners
Experience working with the Spanish speaking sectors of US market
Experience in talking publicly at large scale events/conferences
Fluent in English and Portuguese. Spanish is a plus
